Future Entrepreneur Network – From Inmate to Entrepreneur
Everyone was not born to be an entrepreneur, but if you were, you will possess all three of these skills. They are a must for success in just about anything that you do but especially in running your own business.
• Planner: Take time to plan your day and your thought process. One of the worst mistakes that you could do is not have a plan. Everything requires a plan, a business plan, a marketing plan, an event plan, etc. A good entrepreneur knows how to plan and foresees the obstacles that may occur.
• Listener: Be a good listener. Learn how to listen for the right key words on the phone. Read your emails as if you were having that conversation over the phone or in person. Communication is a two way street. It takes a giver of information and a receiver of information. Whatever end you are on, make sure your ears are open.
• Presenter: Know how to present information with the just the right amount of pizazz and enthusiasm. Your audience will feed off of your energy and the energy you create in the room. When you are preparing for a presentation, prepare as if you are performing a show and want to dazzle your audience. Make sure they remember more than just the first and last things you say.
Remember that success is all relative to your passion and your purpose. Focus on what makes you want to get up in the morning and continue the everyday struggle of the entrepreneur. Plan your work and work your plan.
Wishing you success in 2013!
