Inmates to be Released from Guantanamo Bay

Can you imagine being incarcerated for over three years for just being “suspected” of something or being considered a threat to a country with no tangible evidence?  This is exactly what has happened to several detainees at the Guantanamo Bay base/prison camp. The legacy of the camp is filled with stains of torture covered up and continuously lied about by the  Bush/Cheney Administration and given a side-eye by the entire country as it is being noted that the big bad America does not play by the rules. The Obama administration Friday disclosed the identities of 55 prisoners who have been cleared for release from the Guantanamo Bay detention center for terrorism suspects.

An additional 31 prisoners were cleared for transfer home or resettlement in third countries after a review of the grounds for holding each detainee ordered by President Obama shortly after he took office in January 2009.
